Lianne Ong stumbled upon writing books for children after several years of being freelance writer with a focus on parenting, education and lifestyle topics. Her first book, Maxilla, is about her son and was published by MPH in 2013.
Armour Publishing published her second picture book, Stacey Goes to the National Museum in May 2014, in partnership with the National Heritage Board. This title and the subsequent title, Stacey Goes to the Peranakan Museum, received the Second Prize award at the Samsung Kidstime Author Awards 2015, and will be digitized and sold on the Samsung Kidstime platform (upcoming). Stacey Goes to the Indian Heritage Centre (May, 2015) and Stacey Goes to the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum (2015) are the third and fourth titles in the Stacey & the Museums series.
Lianne’s education background is in Southeast Asian Studies and International Relations. She resides in Singapore with her husband and two children, Reuben and Phoebe.
