Melville, with his wife Salome, served as missionaries with OMF International for 35 years. The story of Melville’s call to missions, and the Sztos’ first 19 years of missionary work in Hokkaido, Japan, from 1975-1994, are told in his first book, Where Your Treasure Is. This second book continues their story, and tells of their eight years in Singapore, training new missionaries, when Melville served as Dean of the Asian Cross-cultural Training Institute, and then their return to Hokkaido in 2003 to do another eight years of evangelism and church-planting work until their retirement from field ministry in 2010. They continue to serve in their home church, Bethesda Frankel Estate Church, and in the Singapore Japanese Christian Fellowship, and Melville also serves on the OMF (Singapore) Home Council. Melville writes in this book too, about the challenges of raising children and their education on the mission field.
